Daniel Hsu

Daniel Hsu is a Partner of Hycroft Nirvana Capital. Mr. Hsu was previously a Principal at Mount Auburn Multifamily REIT, a private REIT focused on developing, acquiring, and managing primarily Class A multifamily properties across the US Sunbelt cities. Mr. Hsu was the head of acquisitions and dispositions and helped grow the private REIT to approximately 10,000 units by 2022, when the assets were sold to Starwood in the largest multifamily transaction in 2022. The transaction was valued at approximately $2.5 billion, realizing a 37% cumulative gross IRR, 3.3x cumulative gross multiple, and an 11.4% cumulative gross average cash yield since 2008. Prior to Mount Auburn, Mr. Hsu worked at Bentall Residential, a multifamily Affordable Housing developer, and at Phoenix Realty Group, a private equity firm focused on multifamily and residential developments.
Mr. Hsu holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Scott Myers

Scott Myers is a Partner of Hycroft Nirvana Capital. Mr. Myers is a former Bain & Company consultant and co-founded Cogent Partners in January 2002. During his tenure as a Managing Partner, Cogent became the global market leader in the sale and restructuring of illiquid investments into the secondary market completing over 4,600 secondary transactions representing over $108 billion in transaction value (a market share of approximately 50%). Cogent was sold to Greenhill & Co. in April 2015 returning a MOIC of 37 and an IRR of 66% to its VC investors. Prior to Cogent, Mr. Myers also worked at Crossroads Group (now Neuberger Berman). Since the sale of Cogent, Mr. Myers founded Hycroft Advisors and serves as its Chairman and CEO.
Mr. Myers holds a BA in International Relations and History from The University of British Columbia, an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University, and an MA in Philosophy from Oxford University.
Shawn Sabanayagam

Shawn Sabanayagam is the Managing Partner of Hycroft Nirvana Capital. Mr. Sabanayagam is a former Bain & Company consultant and co-founded Trident Partners in August 1999. Trident Partners, a middle market private equity firm, invested in technology, and manufacturing companies. Mr. Sabanayagam also served as the Chairman and CEO of TSI Holdings, Inc., a Trident Partners portfolio company. As its CEO, Mr. Sabanayagam returned a 7.2 MOIC to his investors. More recently, he architected and completed the acquisition of Resolve Tech Solutions (RTS), a technology services company focused on Federal, regulated and commercial sectors. As RTS’ CEO, Mr. Sabanayagam grew the company’s revenues from $79M to $144M in less than 24 months. Mr. Sabanayagam holds a top secret clearance from the US Federal government and is a licensed professional engineer (PE). Prior to business school, Mr. Sabanayagam worked for the defense contractor, Parsons Corporation, in Washington, DC.
Mr. Sabanayagam holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Salford in the U.K. and an MBA with distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
